Blog 1st June 2014       The make-up of the Megalithmovers continues to grow, although Sean is back at sea for the next few weeks, Steve and myself have, despite the heat and humidity, made a good start on constructing the the mould for the plinth and also made a lot of progress on the construction of the barn doors which will act as a lifting platform for the obelisk.    We have recently been joined in this task by Brian (our photographer and film cameraman/producer) and new volunteer Ewan, which has helped speed up the progress. We are having a lot of fun working together on this project which has given all of us a new focus in life and is keeping this group of oldies fit and healthy in later life.  (It is all to easy when you retire to a life in the sun to slip into a routine of tv/computer screen/ drinks on the terrace.) Having a good reason to wake up in the morning makes life so much more interesting. next blog page >> To read & post comments click here
